Baptism

What is it?

Christian baptism is an outward expression of an inward faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing the believer's identification with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Baptism involves being immersed in water as a representation of being cleansed from sin and entering into new life in Christ. While baptism itself does not save, it reflects the spiritual transformation that has already taken place in the believer's heart.
